We are seeking an admin assistant/entry level bookkeeper to join our team at our Rayleigh based Bookkeeping company. 

Initially we are looking for someone two days a week, 5 hours a day, with the potential to grow the role as the business expands. Duties will include a mixture of admin and bookkeeping responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Scanning invoices & receipts
  • Shredding
  • Making drinks
  • Answering phone
  • Ensuring office runs well – keeping supplies topped up etc (not cleaning!)
  • Processing invoices and receipts from receipt processing software, into accounts software for multiple clients 
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable for multiple clients
  • Reconciling bank accounts for multiple clients 
  • Excel data entry work 

Experience: 

  • Experience in bookkeeping is preferred 
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred
  • Good understanding of basic bookkeeping terms
  • Experience bookkeeping for multiple clients is preferred. 
  • Ability to work independently, managing your own workload. 

From the details above you can see this is a varied role, would suit a local working parent as hours can be worked within school hours. Someone with a positive attitude and outlook, all hands on deck attitude with relevant bookkeeping experience would be ideal. 

Pay will be dependant on experience ranging between £12.50-£13.84 per hour starting rate.  Relevant training provided where required for the right candidate.
